Terra (LUNA) is a Cosmos SDK-based blockchain network that aims to create stablecoins. Instead of using fiat or an over-collateralized cryptocurrency as a reserve, each Terra stablecoin is converted into the network’s native token, LUNA. With LUNA, you can pay fees on the network, participate in the governance and consensus mechanism of the Tendermint Delegated Proof of Stake, and peg stablecoins.
