Bloomberg was founded by Michael Bloomberg in 1981. Is a private company: Michael Bloomberg bought 20% of the company from Merrill Lynch in July 2008, and now the founder owns 88% of the shares. It is currently headquartered in the Bloomberg Tower in New York.
